PowerGoodies Launches New App to Reward EV Drivers for Charging Their Electric Vehicles

Zeeland is the first province where EV drivers are rewarded for efficiently and environmentally-friendly charging through the PowerGoodies app.
An App That Rewards Eco-Friendly Charging
The PowerGoodies app informs EV drivers about the best times and locations to charge their vehicles in an environmentally friendly and efficient manner. Users automatically earn points by charging quickly and sustainably. These points can be used at stores like Karwei, Intertoys, HEMA, Gamma, Adidas, Rituals, TopBloemen, Pathé, Etos, and Douglas.
Rewarding Smart Charging Behavior to Prevent “Charger Hogging”
“We believe that EV drivers will charge even more sustainably if we reward them for doing so at the right times, such as during off-peak hours when the sun is shining or the wind is stronger at night,” says Jan van Ottele, founder of PowerGoodies. “By offering rewards, we can also reduce the number of ‘charger hoggers’. EV drivers earn extra points when they quickly free up the charging station after their session, allowing more people to charge their electric vehicles.”
Zeeland Takes the Lead
AgriSnellaad, an operator of charging stations in Zeeland, has an extensive network of public charging points, making Zeeland the perfect starting point for the rollout of the PowerGoodies app. Robbert Meeuwse of AgriSnellaad explains, “EV users earn points by using our public charging stations at the optimal times. How the PowerGoodies App Works in 4 Steps:
1. Download the app (iOS or Android) from the App Store.
2. Link your mobile number and charging card to the app.
3. Find available charging stations through the app.
4. Start a charging session, and the point accumulation begins automatically.
